Swiss companies are maintaining tight budgets, but dialogue about salaries is opening up.
Nearly seven in ten employers (68%) expect to raise salaries by 1% to 5% in 2026, a sign that they want to continue investing in talent despite economic uncertainty. On the employee side, the pressure is real: nearly seven in ten professionals (68%) are considering changing jobs if they do not receive a raise in 2026. A representative of Robert Walters Switzerland sees an opportunity: “employers that invest today in competitive salaries and transparent communication will be able to truly stand out in 2026.”
